New Steps in Iran-Pakistan Tourism Diplomacy Spice Road Rally. Peace & Friendship through Tourism

On March 07, 2025 Mr. Mehdi Alamdar, Head of International Affairs –TACI talked to IRT Chamber’s President Rana Asif Khan and informed that, TAIC is planning to organize a Tourism Rally with the theme of “Peace and Friendship” during Nowruz 2025, traveling through Iran, Pakistan, and India. This rally is scheduled to include 15 camper and caravan vehicles, carrying 42 Iranian families. The “Peace and Friendship” Tourism Rally intends to enter Pakistan through the Gabd land border.

Mr. Alamdar added, that on February 14, 2025, a Joint meeting of the Tourism and Automobile Association of Iran and the Embassy of Pakistan in Iran agreed on the subject of holding the Historical Spice Road Rally.

During the event, Farhat Jabeen Ali, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of Pakistan in Iran with Mohsen Safarzadeh, Director of Communications and Development of International Cooperation of the Tourism Center and The motorists met and discussed the best possible holding of the rally of the historic Spice Road.

Mr. Alamdar seek the cooperation of IRT Chamber and assistance in facilitating for the obtaining of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from concerned departments of Pakistan, for the entry into Pakistan of this convoy through the Gabd, Pakistan land border.

Rana Asif Khan President IRT Chamber of Pakistan (IRTCoP) assured TAIC their full cooperation and active support for this noble cause to promote peace and friendship between two brotherly countries Pakistan & Iran.
