Ambassador Dr. Asad M. Khan, a veteran Pakistani diplomat, has officially assumed his responsibilities as the 14th Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

Ambassador Khan brings with him a wealth of experience and a distinguished career in Pakistan’s Foreign Service. Over the years, he has held various high-profile positions, including as Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Ambassador in USA, EU, Belgium and Japan that have demonstrated his exceptional diplomatic acumen and commitment to enhancing regional and international collaboration.

His extensive experience in economic diplomacy is expected to play a pivotal role in steering the ECO towards new heights, unlocking new avenues for collaboration among member states.
