Pakistan’s International Road Transport (IRT) Chamber delegation recently visited Kazakhstan with the aim of enhancing bilateral trade, logistics cooperation, and business to business connections between the two region.
During their visit, the delegation explored key Kazakh cities Almaty and Shymkent engaging with local business communities, logistics operators, and trade authorities to identify new opportunities for road transport and cross-border commerce.

The visit was part of IRT Chamber’s broader vision to promote regional trade integration through the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) system and road-based logistics. By facilitating direct land routes between Pakistan and Central Asia, the IRT aims to create faster, cost effective, and reliable transport channels for importers and exporters.

The delegation observed border operations, customs clearance facilities, and transport infrastructure to understand how Pakistani transporters and traders can utilize these routes for efficient cargo movement toward China, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Europe. These visits provided valuable insights into regional connectivity and the strategic importance of Kazakhstan’s border networks in facilitating transcontinental trade.
