The International Road Transport (IRT) Chamber Pakistan delegation, under the leadership of Mr. Rana Asif Khan (President) and Mr. Malik Amir (Senior Vice President), successfully completed an important official meeting with Honourable Ms. Rizwana Kazi, Trade & Investment Counsellor at the Commercial Section, Consulate of Pakistan, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The meeting took place on 28th October 2025 at the Office of the Trade & Investment Counsellor in Almaty, following the delegation’s arrival in Kazakhstan on 25th October 2025. This engagement was part of the IRT Chamber’s broader initiative to strengthen trade, transport, and logistics cooperation between Pakistan and Central Asian nations through the promotion of road-based trade corridors under the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) system.
Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Logistics Cooperation
The IRT Chamber delegation’s visit to Kazakhstan marked a major milestone in the Chamber’s ongoing mission to expand Pakistan’s access to Central Asia’s dynamic trade markets. During the meeting, President Rana Asif Khan emphasized the need to enhance trade routes, transport facilitation, and investment in logistics infrastructure that could link Pakistan’s ports and highways directly with Kazakhstan and other Central Asian states.
Honourable Ms. Rizwana Kazi, representing Pakistan’s Commercial Section in Almaty, warmly welcomed the delegation and appreciated the IRT Chamber’s efforts to promote international road connectivity and economic integration. She underscored the importance of strengthening commercial and logistical partnerships between Pakistan and Kazakhstan especially in connection with the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and its potential extensions to Central Asian transport corridors.
