The Director General for the Department of Transit and International Transport of Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization has announced the rollout of an electronic scheduling system for export trucks from their points of origin to seven key border crossings across the country.
According to Javad Hedayati, integrating the customs system with border crossing will effectively eliminate truck delays at these facilities.
Mr. Hedayati further highlighted that the system is currently being implemented at high-traffic border crossings, including Bazargan, the primary gateway between Iran, Turkiye and Europe, as well as Dogharun, Norduz, Bilehsavar, Bashmagh and Sero borders.
He stressed that the integration of the system with customs cargo entry gates represents the final step towards achieving fully electronic traffic management at export oriented borders
“If this milestone is reached, customs notifications for export fleets will be seamlessly processed through the system,” Hedayati stated, underscoring the transformative impact of the initiative in streamlining export operations.
