MR. ATIF KHAN BABUKHEL visited IRT Chamber & signed MoU

Atif Khan Babukhel “Focal Person” of China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC) on 10 July 2025 visited Head Office at Karachi of International Road Transport IRT Chamber of Pakistan.

Mr.  Atif Khan Babukhel is Pakistan’s renowned Trade and Industrial Consultant. Since long he is associated with China Overseas Ports Holding Company (COPHC). Mr. Atif Khan Babukhel is Convener of the Standing Committee of the “Gwadar Coastal Tourism” of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Further he has been nominated by COPHC as “Focal Person” for Trade & Industry of LCCI, FPCCI & Iran Chamber of Commerce regarding Trade affairs and businesses development with Industrial, Corporate, and Investment Sectors of Pakistan and Iran under the subject of China Overseas Ports Holding Company (COPHC). 

Founder President of IRTCoP Rana Asif Khan introduced that IRT Chamber is an Law and Advisory Chamber formed to Re-Shape the Logistics Infrastructural Land Scape of Pakistan and to harmonize with international norms and standers, to devise and promote Tech-Logistics and Fin-Tech to digitalize the Logistics and Transport of Pakistan, to promote and develop various Logistic Corridors for regional and international connectivity of Pakistan.

In this meeting a MOU was signed between “COPHC FOCAL PERSON” Mr. Atif Khan Babukhel and IRT Chamber to achieve the common objectives.

The main features of the MOU are:

  • To work for and promote Bilateral & Barter Trade between Pakistan & Iran.
  • To promote & protect legitimate business interests of Pakistan & Balochistan.
  • To promote the business of Gwadar Sea Port & through Gabd – Rimdan Border.
  • To provide for capacity building, education of drivers, work force of Balochistan.
  • To organize, exhibitions, workshops, seminars for promotion of Balochistan’s Product.
  • To suggest, promote Border Area Infrastructural Facilities for trade, transport & Tourism.
  • To promote Makran Coastal logistic transit Corridor via Gabd-Rimdan for tourism and transport.
  • To facilitate bilateral cross-border and transit of goods transport under TIR between Pakistan-Iran.
  • Special task is to suggest and develop “By Sea & Road Special Corridor” between Gwadar and Chabahar Sea Ports.

At this occasion MR. Atif Khan Babukhel was appointed “VICE PRESIDENT & Focal Person for BALOCHISTAN CHAPTER OF IRT CHAMBER of Pakistan.

Atif Khan Babukhel has to represent IRT Chamber in Balochistan before various Government Authorities, Gwadar Port Authority & other Chamber, Trade Associations of Logistic Tourism Sectors.

Being Vice President and Focal Person for Balochistan he has mandate to strive for achieving IRTCoP Objectives not limited but includes for development in all sectors of business i.e. Tourism, Trade, Industry, Corporate, and Investment for Gwadar, Balochistan and Pakistan, development of Customs Specific Logistical Infrastructural such as Terminals, Dry Ports and other Commercial Zones for import, export, transit, barter trade, and manufacturing at Gabd-Rimdan Border Area and facilitations for Passengers, Traders, Industries and for Transport Operators.

IRTCoP President Rana Asif Khan reposed His confidence upon Mr. Atif Khan Babukhel, that being VC & Focal Person of IRTCoP, he will promote trade between Iran and Pakistan through Gwadar Port, Makran Coastal Highway Corridor Linking CARs with Pakistan via the Iran.

In this juncture Mr. Atif Khan Babukhel visited IRT Chamber’s Accredited Logistic Terminal “PEARL TCDT”. Pear TCDT is dedicated Transit Terminal for Swap the Transit Containers meant for transit to Afghanistan and CARs via the Pakistan.
