Professional Biography
Rana Asif Khan is the Founder President of IRTCOP and a seasoned Advocate High Court with over 30 years of professional experience in customs law, international logistics, multimodal transport, and trade facilitation. Since joining the Sindh Bar in 1993, he has built extensive expertise in banking, corporate, admiralty, international customs, logistics laws, customs conventions, economic zones, transit trade, re-export, re-import, Incoterms, and project relocation matters.
He is widely recognized as an innovative promoter and developer of cross-border trade, bonded transport systems, dry ports, container terminals, multimodal logistics, and international transport corridors. His work includes founding and promoting major initiatives such as Sialkot International Container Terminal, custom bonded transport in Pakistan, Gujranwala International Container Terminal/Dry Port, Bahria Terminal and Transshipment Hub, Iran-Pakistan trade corridors, and transit CFS intermodal operations at KPT.
As an advisor, Rana Asif Khan has contributed to TIR admission, TIR Convention compliance, ATA Carnet, Carnet-de-Passage, Authorized Economic Operator advisory, rail and road corridor development, dry port establishment, land custom stations, international 3PL logistics, transshipment, transit, vessel handling, and cross-border customs bonded logistics. He has also served in several important trade and transport forums, including Pakistan National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, Technical Committee on TIR Transport Issues with Customs and IRU, Pakistan-Iran Joint Border Commission, International TIR Commission of ICC Pakistan, and the Multimodal Terminals & Operators Commission of ICC Pakistan.
