Mr. Fazal Hussain Yousofzai –Vice President / Russia Chapter of International Road Transport Chamber of Pakistan-IRTCoP has filed, with IRTCoP Head Office Karachi, an Executive Summary about meeting of the Russia-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission held at Moscow-Russia, 03 – 05 December 2024. From Pakistan Mr. Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari – Federal Minister of Energy & Syed Mazhar Ali Shah – Secretary /Chairman, Railway Division, participated in this Russia-Pakistan Inter-Governmental Commission meeting. Mr. Roman Vladimirovich Starovoyt Transport Minster of Russia co-chaired the Russia-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission meeting with Mr. Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari.
Interaction at all levels is noticeably intensifying on the Russian-Pakistani track. The meeting of the ministers took place on the eve of the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation between our countries. In terms of railway transport, they discussed plans to implement a test launch of container trains from Pakistan via the North-South International Transport Corridor.
The Russian side confirmed its interest in opening direct flights between our countries. Consultations between the aviation authorities of Russia and Pakistan will be held in the coming days. The Pakistani side expressed interest in exchanging students in the transport industry, and outlined further plans for cooperation in this area.
Mr. Fazal Hussain Yousofzai –Vice President / IRTCoP – Russia Chapter, was also invited by the Pakistan Embassy at this event. Vice President-IRTCoP appreciated this all positive interaction between the two countries and specially welcomed the “exchanging students in the transport industry” as this is the steep complementary to the slogan and core objective of IRTCoP, “Re-Shaping the Logistics Landscape of Pakistan”
